The Alfa Romeo Museum

Silverstone was not supposed to be my first F1 track visit. After the Ferrari Museum, of course, I wanted to visit Monza. The trip to Milan was one with my team (as in "my team from my everyday job, which has zero connection to cars"), as some kind of team building (only kind of because it was paid by us, but they just wanted to take a multi-day trip to somewhere, what a team, wow, I love them!!), so I hyped them up for Monza, too.

Then unfortunately, it turned out that Monza is under renovation - and I learnt this because I sent them an email and THEY REPLIED!! :D Anyway, I had a plan B because of this, and Plan B was visiting the Alfa Romeo Museum (credit for the recommendation goes to my drama friend).

These museums must have some kind of agreement among themselves, because they all seem to be in the middle of nowhere. Even after taking a bus to a shopping mall, we still had to walk a lot, weather by the side of the road or in the swamp. That is what I call real team building!

After we finally found the place and the entrance, we started to explore the museum, and it was back in January - and I also clearly remember that is was also where I learned that Carlos Sainz Sr won the Dakar once again. I'm telling you that man is a beast, or at least some kind of superhuman...

But the museum, a lot of beautiful cars, and we could also learn about engines, because my team is awesome, and had a guy who is familiar with cars. We familiarized ourselves with the different types, and then we had to recognize them. It is basically the only piece of knowledge that I learnt in Hungarian.

I love the contrast of the colors!! And just because now I know stuff, I'll let you know
that this is a V12 engine.

There was this windtunnel looking part (though I'm not really sure how wind tunnels really look, but I imagine them like this)

Because I said there were a lot of pretty cars, I thought I'd show you some.

It was a great experience all in all, the collection is huge and there are also some F1 cars, which was nice. Probably because it's so far away from everything, it was basically empty and also the entrance fee was pretty low (15 EUR), even if we add the shuttle (12 back and forth), it was a very budget-friendly and fun thing to do. I 100% recommend to check it out!
